What working with us
may offer
We are cautious about strong claims. What follows is a candid description of what clients have tended to find useful â and where our approach differs from common alternatives.

Six things clients notice
These are not selling points so much as observations from client feedback and our own assessment of what tends to matter in sustainability engagements.
Thai market knowledge
Familiarity with SET disclosure requirements, BOI criteria, and the ESG expectations of regional capital markets.
Usable written outputs
Documents the client team can present, adapt, and extend â not materials that require ongoing interpretation by the consultant.
Senior practitioner involvement
The people who scope the engagement are the people who do the work. There is no junior delivery team producing drafts for senior review.
Framework-neutral selection
We have no commercial interest in any particular framework or vendor. Recommendations emerge from what is appropriate to the client.
Scope calibrated to readiness
We begin by understanding where the client actually is, not where a framework assumes they should be. Scope is set accordingly.
Straightforward on limits
We say clearly what a given engagement can and cannot address. A baseline review is not a substitute for a full materiality assessment.

EXPERTISE AND BACKGROUND
Practitioners who have worked inside Thai corporate environments
The founding partners at Ayutthaya Partners spent years in finance, investor relations, and operations roles at Thai businesses before moving into consulting. That experience informs what we regard as realistic scope, credible timelines, and workable data requirements.
- Familiarity with SET ESG disclosure guidance and BOI criteria
- Experience of how sustainability questions surface in investor dialogue
- Understanding of supply chain ESG pressure from international customers
"The Ayutthaya Partners team understood the internal constraints we were working with â they did not ask us to produce data we do not collect, or to adopt a scope that would have been unmanageable for our team."
â Finance Director, Thai manufacturer
"The implementation plan we received was clear enough that our operations team could take on the data collection work themselves after the engagement concluded. That was what we needed."

PROCESS AND APPROACH
A structured working method with drafts at each stage
Framework engagements use a joint working session model â weekly meetings with relevant teams, interim drafts for review, and a written implementation plan at close. The approach is designed to build internal understanding, not dependency.
- Written scope note before work begins
- Interim drafts shared and reviewed during the engagement
- Final deliverables the client team can present and adapt
SERVICE AND AVAILABILITY
Accessible between sessions, not only during them
Retainer clients have written correspondence access between sessions â useful for questions that arise around stakeholder inquiries, customer questionnaires, or reporting deadlines. We aim to respond within one working day for retainer correspondence.
- Two scheduled sessions per month for retainer clients
- Written support for ad-hoc matters between sessions
- Session agendas set jointly and adaptable as priorities shift
"When a customer sent us an unexpected ESG questionnaire, we could send a draft response to Ayutthaya Partners and receive comments within a day. That kind of support matters when there is a deadline."

TRANSPARENT PRICING
All fees quoted before the engagement begins. No additional charges without prior agreement.
VALUE AND PRICING
Fees stated clearly before work begins
Engagement fees are agreed in the scope note before any work commences. There are no variable billing arrangements or hourly charges that accumulate unexpectedly. If the scope of a project changes in a way that would affect the fee, this is discussed and agreed separately.
- Fixed fee quoted per engagement type
- No hidden charges or unexpected additions
- Scope changes discussed and agreed before additional fees apply
OUTCOMES
Outcomes calibrated to where the client actually is
We do not promise specific results â sustainability practice is not a deterministic process and outcomes depend substantially on the client's own decisions and capacity. What we do aim to deliver is a clearer understanding of position, realistic options, and written materials the client can act on.
- Baseline review: a written memorandum with observations and considerations
- Framework engagement: a written implementation plan the client can execute
- Retainer: sustained advisory support as sustainability questions arise
"What we found most useful was not a finished report but a clear picture of where our data gaps were and what it would take to address them. That gave us a realistic agenda for the following year."

â comparison
How our approach differs
A candid comparison â without naming specific firms â of common approaches versus what Ayutthaya Partners brings.
| FEATURE | TYPICAL PROVIDERS | AYUTTHAYA PARTNERS |
|---|---|---|
| Framework selection | Often aligned with preferred vendor or internal template | Framework-neutral, selected from client context |
| Regional knowledge | Global templates adapted at surface level | Built from Thai corporate and regulatory experience |
| Team involvement | Junior analysts with senior sign-off | Senior practitioners throughout |
| Pricing model | Variable, often hourly with scope creep risk | Fixed fee agreed before work begins |
| Deliverable ownership | Reports often require consultant to interpret or present | Written to be understood and used independently |
| Scope candor | Tends to expand scope rather than limit it | Clear about what each engagement covers and does not |
| Between-session support | Typically not included | Included in retainer engagements |
â distinctive features
What sets this practice apart
Several features of how we work are less common among sustainability consulting practices in the region.
A written conflict of interest declaration
We disclose at the start of each engagement that we do not receive referral fees or commissions from framework providers, data platforms, or certifying bodies. Our recommendations are not influenced by commercial relationships.
Thai-language working capability
Working sessions can be conducted in Thai where this is more comfortable for the client team. Written deliverables are in English, but sessions and correspondence can operate bilingually.
Peer context included
Retainer sessions routinely include a brief note on how peer companies in Thailand and Southeast Asia are handling comparable sustainability questions. Clients find this grounding useful for internal discussions.
Designed to conclude cleanly
Each engagement is designed so that the client can continue independently when it ends. We do not structure our work to create ongoing dependency. Some clients return for additional engagements, but this is their choice.
