In their own words
Reflections from clients across different sectors and engagement types. Ratings given at close of engagement.
"We had been putting off a sustainability baseline for two years, not knowing where to begin. The memorandum Ayutthaya Partners produced gave our board a clear sense of where we were and what the realistic options were. It changed the conversation internally."
Wanchai Somchai
CEO, industrial packaging, Bangkok
March 2025 · Baseline Review
"The framework engagement was more demanding on our operations team than I had anticipated — the data collection work took time. But the implementation plan we ended up with was something our finance director could actually present to the board. That made the effort worth it."
Nattaphon Kongkham
Sustainability Lead, food manufacturer, Chiang Mai
February 2025 · Framework Engagement
"When a European customer sent us an unexpected ESG questionnaire with a two-week deadline, we could send it to Ayutthaya Partners and receive a commented draft within 24 hours. That kind of support is hard to put a price on when the pressure is on."
Porntip Limsiri
Operations Director, consumer goods, Bangkok
April 2025 · Advisory Retainer
"What I valued most was the candor. When a particular indicator would have required data we simply do not collect, they said so clearly rather than working around it. That honesty made the whole engagement more credible."
Kasem Suphanit
CFO, logistics company, Bangkok
January 2025 · Framework Engagement
"We had worked with a larger consulting firm before. The difference with Ayutthaya Partners was that the people we met at the beginning were the ones who did the work. That consistency helped build trust over the course of the retainer."
Siriporn Thanakit
Head of Investor Relations, SET-listed company
December 2024 · Advisory Retainer
"The baseline memorandum identified three governance arrangements we had not considered relevant to sustainability. Addressing two of them before we started the framework engagement saved us considerable time downstream. That early reading was genuinely useful."
Arthit Phongphit
Managing Director, healthcare services, Bangkok

CASE STUDY 01 — BASELINE REVIEW
A mid-size Thai manufacturer preparing for a first investor sustainability questionnaire
THE SITUATION
A Bangkok-based packaging manufacturer with around 800 employees received a sustainability questionnaire from a German institutional investor holding a small stake. The leadership team had not previously engaged with structured sustainability questions and was uncertain how to respond.
WHAT WE DID
We conducted a three-week baseline review — conversations with the CEO, CFO, and operations head, a review of available environmental data, and a reading of their governance documents. We produced a written memorandum noting where they had reasonable responses to offer, where gaps existed, and what data collection would be needed to respond more fully in future.
WHAT RESULTED
The client submitted a partial response to the questionnaire, noting honestly the areas where data was not yet available and indicating what would be addressed over the following year. The investor acknowledged this positively. The client subsequently engaged us for a framework engagement to address the data gaps identified.
Duration: 3 weeks · Fee: ฿7,600
CASE STUDY 02 — FRAMEWORK ENGAGEMENT
A SET-listed company preparing for voluntary GRI disclosure
THE SITUATION
A listed consumer company was considering voluntary sustainability disclosure ahead of anticipated regulatory changes. The board had agreed in principle to a first sustainability report but the finance and operations teams were uncertain about what indicators to target and how to gather the required data.
WHAT WE DID
A nine-week framework engagement with weekly sessions across the finance, operations, and communications teams. We recommended GRI Core as the appropriate starting framework given the client's sector and stakeholder profile, mapped indicators to available data sources, identified gaps, and produced a written implementation plan covering the next reporting cycle.
WHAT RESULTED
The client published a first sustainability report eleven months later, covering 18 GRI indicators with data the operations team had collected independently using the plan developed in the engagement. The report was referenced positively in two subsequent investor meetings.
Duration: 9 weeks · Fee: ฿35,300
CASE STUDY 03 — ADVISORY RETAINER
A regional property developer navigating TCFD expectations from overseas lenders
THE SITUATION
A Bangkok-based property developer with projects in multiple Thai provinces was in negotiation with an overseas development finance institution. The DFI was asking for TCFD-aligned climate disclosures as a condition of a planned facility, and the developer had no prior experience with this type of reporting.
WHAT WE DID
A nine-month advisory retainer with the CFO and the risk function. Sessions covered TCFD structure and application to the property sector, scenario analysis approaches appropriate to the client's portfolio, and draft responses to the DFI's specific questions. Between sessions we reviewed correspondence and attended three calls with the DFI's ESG team as a supporting adviser.
WHAT RESULTED
The financing facility was agreed, with a climate reporting covenant that the client's risk team now manages internally. By the end of the retainer, the CFO was handling DFI correspondence on sustainability matters without our involvement. The client renewed for a further six-month retainer at a reduced scope.
Duration: 9 months · Fee: ฿57,700
